This book is intense, to say the least. Kele Moon sure knows how to write a love story with angst. The characters were captivating and their story was full of love, lust and agony. I was immediately drawn into Wyatt and Tabitha’s story. The way that Kele wrote about their past leads the reader to watch their childhood friendship evolve into love. I felt as if I was witnessing it myself. The love they felt for each other was very evident. I could feel the conflict they were having with their budding relationship. This is the third book in the series, but the author gives the reader enough background so that you don’t feel lost. I would recommend reading the previous books so that you can really get a feel for all the characters. It is an amazing series.

Wyatt is a no-nonsense kind of guy. He likes to live the rules. Since he is the sheriff is this small town he also enforces them. Wyatt comes for a family with a strong law enforcement background. The only thing missing in his life is the woman he loves. When Wyatt met Tabitha in grade school, he was her protector and feel for her. He knew that they were destined to be together. But when he chose to leave her, his heart broke.

Tabitha is a young woman with a secret. After being away from her hometown for 13 years, she decides to return. She always knew she would run into Wyatt, just not right away. Tabitha still feels the electricity that envelopes her when he is around. The way Wyatt took care of her when she was a child made her love him then and she loves him even more now. Tabitha is positive that if Wyatt knew what her secret was, he would do anything to protect her and seek revenge. Can they find their way back to each other for good? Or will the secrets and hurts of the past be too much to overcome?
